Costs and reimbursement

oogPsychologenpraktijk Oog is a recognized practice for Generalist Basic Mental Health and Specialist mental health care. Mild to moderate mental illnesses fall under the GBGGZ Multiple, complex mental disorders are treated in the specialized mental health care.

Integrated care (Ketenzorg)
Taking part in the chain of care program Pozob or DOH, then other rules apply. The consultations are not reimbursed by your health insurance, but in a different way, this is not addressed your own risk. Whether you participate in the integrated care is determined by the referring physician.

To be eligible for reimbursement, a referral letter from your family practitioner, company doctor or medical specialist is needed. Most insurance companies can be billed directly for your visits. If this is not possible, you will be billed personally. The fee for an individual session of 45 minutes is € 92,50.

If you fail to cancel an appointment or cancel within 24 hours of the appointment, we have the right to bill you for the appointment. Reimbursement of these costs by your insurance company is not possible.

Reimbursement psychological care 2014
In 2014, the system for reimbursement of psychological services and mental health care will change.

• The current primary psychological services will become general mental health care (Dutch: generalistische basis-GGZ, GBGGZ). This consists of brief treatments of less complex problems.

• The secondary psychological services will be replaced by the specialized mental health care (Dutch: gespecialiseerde GGZ, SGGZ). This encompasses the treatment of complex psychological problems and disorders.

• The costs of both the general and the specialized mental health care will be paid for by your health insurance. No personal contribution is required. However, psychological services will count towards your yearly deductible. By law, this is set at an amount of €360,- for 2014. This doesn’t apply to children under 18.

To be eligible for reimbursement, a referral letter from your family practitioner, company doctor or medical specialist is needed. Within the general mental health care, four different treatment programs are possible, varying in duration and intensity. The referrer will decide, together with your therapist, in which program you will be treated. Please consult your insurance policy on the specific rules concerning the reimbursement of GBGGZ and SGGZ.
